Global Decisions Lecture Series
Explore Foreign Policy Through a Georgia Lens
Expand your knowledge of current world affairs with 8 monthly virtual lectures by local experts.
GCIV’s foreign policy lecture series, formerly known as Dunwoody Great Decisions, has rebranded as the GCIV Global Decisions Lecture Series.
No longer just based on the Foreign Policy Association (FPA)’s annual topics, the update enables a broader range of foreign policy topics, including those that directly impact the state of Georgia.
Previous Great Decisions participants will find Global Decisions much the same, and hopefully enjoy the effort to identify Georgia’s place in the global community and our role in international affairs.
The 8 lectures in the series will be spread out over the coming year with one presentation each month (except for July and December). Lecture announcements, including date, time and speaker details, will be posted on the GCIV calendar. Each lecture will be virtual via Zoom and will be followed by a Q&A as in the past.
Although each lecture will take place virtually live on Zoom, our team will try to offer some of the lectures in-person as well to provide community engagement. The lectures will take place on a weekday evening beginning at 7:00 PM, and are subject to change depending on each speaker’s availability. We will notify participants approximately a month before each upcoming lecture.
Click here or the register now button to register. The fee is $10 for each lecture or $40 for the entire lecture series. Global Decisions is free for those who join GCIV at the Attaché or higher level as well as any students currently enrolled at a high school or college. As in previous years, all fees collected help support the work of GCIV to connect Georgia to the world.
