Connecting Georgia to the World Since 1962

GCIV connects Georgia Citizens with Future World Leaders

The Georgia Council for International Visitors (GCIV) connects Georgia communities with esteemed international visitors participating in short-term, purpose-driven federally sponsored professional exchange programs. These programs are designed to foster professional dialogue, mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and best practices, and community connection while advancing the broader goals of international understanding.

Community participation plays a central role in each exchange program, ensuring that global exchange is grounded in local experience. GCIV’s community programs, rooted in the principle of citizen diplomacy, create opportunities for meaningful people-to-people engagement that strengthens mutual understanding and global awareness at the local level.

Visit the GCIV calendar to see who’s coming to town.

Connect with esteemed international visitors through GCIV community programs, including dinner hospitality, Global Lunch Forums, International Women Associates, Global Decisions, International Dining Experiences, Today I Met, professional meetings, and the International Consular Ball.
