The mission of the Georgia Council for International Visitors (GCIV) is to promote international understanding through citizen diplomacy.

This is achieved through a variety of programs, including professional exchanges, cultural orientations, home hospitality, networking opportunities, and community education programs. We build cross-cultural understanding and mutually beneficial personal and professional relationships between Georgians and leading citizens from around the world through our implementation of the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program. GCIV collaborates with other organizations, public and private, in carrying out its mission.

Our vision is that every Georgia citizen has the opportunity to become more globally engaged.
