Dinner Hospitality Opportunities

Monday, December 16 - Six American Corners directors from Bosnia-Herzegovina would like to experience dinner hospitality with GCIV hosts in Atlanta. They are participating in the U.S. State Department’s American Corners Program and are available at 5:00 PM for dinner. The delegation may be split into groups of 2-3 visitors per host.

Thursday, December 19 - One election officer, one newspaper editor, one civil society leader, and one political coalition spokesman from Afghanistan would like to experience dinner hospitality with GCIV hosts in Atlanta. They are participating in the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program focusing on the youth vote and are available at 5:00 PM for dinner. The delegation may be split into groups of 2 visitors per host and will be accompanied by an interpreter.

Dinner hospitality opportunities are available to GCIV members only. Hosts are asked to provide transportation to and from the hotel on the day of dinner hospitality. If you are interested in hosting or cohosting, please contact or 404-832-5560 x15. Once you have signed up to host, we’ll provide a CultureGram for the corresponding countries.

AFS Student Exchange for High Schoolers
AFS Intercultural Exchange Programs in Georgia is currently seeking host families for the 2013-14 school year. Whether you are in your 20s or 70s, have children or not, live alone or with a roommate, you are the perfect family for an AFS high school student! AFS has more than 60 trained Atlanta volunteers supporting host families and students before, during, and after the experience.
